Exploring conciousness, science, and faith
With a grant from the John Templeton Foundation, Pinyon designed a pilot series of Spanish language radio programs for national broadcast exploring the themes of the nexus of consciousness, science and faith. Using the visit of Pope Francis to Washington, DC and his proclamations regarding Climate Change and the duty of humankind to protect the earth, Pinyon Foundation produced a national Spanish-language radio series hosted by Carlos Alcazar, an accomplished media expert and interviewer that mixed interviews with Catholic Faith practitioners, members of traditional cultures from Mexico and others to explore the nexus of faith, science, shamanism, and traditional health practices.
Focus groups were conducted by Xochitl Castaneda director of the Health Initiative of the Americas based at the University of California Berkeley.
